TOPIC: IN YOUR KINGDOM
TEXT: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Colossians 1:13
Every kingdom has its leadership, its constitution and method of governance for its citizens. It has its expected lifestyle, its privileges and benefits for belonging to that kingdom. As a child of God redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, you are of the kingdom of God, the kingdom of His dear son under the leadership of the Almighty God and in this kingdom, the constitution is the Word of God which is the method of governance. The Word of God is the basis of operations; every provision and commitment of leadership to its citizens is according to the Word.
It is expected of every citizen therefore, to arm himself with the Word of God and to be abreast of it in order to live accordingly, as expected of citizens of this kingdom. When citizens live according to the Word of God, which is the constitution, they commit leadership to fulfilling the provisions due its citizens. In other words, citizens of a particular kingdom are known in their compliance with the rules and regulations of that kingdom and their lifestyle reveals their kingdom, no matter where they are at a certain time. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are conscious of the fact that we are ambassadors of Christ, and as such, our fruit should speak volumes of our kingdom,.as we live as the light of the world (Matt. 5:14), and the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13), and therefore, enjoy the so many blessings of being citizens of God’s kingdom.
My Father! My Father! As I pray now, help me to live as expected of a citizen of your kingdom.
